Should I go to a DASB meeting and talk to you there on a Wednesday? So many people just light up wherever they feel like it and it's worse even though we have signs up everywhere. I think we should have officers be able to give tickets and have a number to report this to.
When you inform police walking around they don't care. I had one tell me "oh, I just cleared out some, but I'm going this way, I'll call someone." I was there for 40 minutes, no one came.
I'm being forced to wait inside at the Student Services building for my ride, when everyone else can wait just 2 feet outside the door and smoke away with no repercussions. I don't think this is fair. I pay the same tuition and I deserve to breathe clean air. Despite signs, asking people to leave, and the fact that the ashtrays were removed, people just throw all their cigarette butts in the garden areas like they always did.
I think a smoking ticket should cost exactly the same as the parking tickets. This is just my 2 cents but I am so tired of it. I have contacted campus police so many times, they just do not respond, even when they are in the office - I am sure they are busy, but they themselves said to call if people do not move when you ask them to.
I am sure DeAnza could use the money from tickets for smoking and it would be extremely EASY money to make.

It might be a little egocentric but I concur with almost everything you just said. We all deserve a learning environment with clean air.
